Lose yourself in the magical and mesmerising story from Cecelia Ahern of how tomorrow can change what happens today.
Sometimes tomorrow has to start today…
Tamara Goodwin has always lived in the here and now, never giving a second thought to tomorrow. Until a travelling library arrives in her tiny village, bringing with it a mysterious, large leather-bound book locked with a gold clasp and padlock.
What she discovers within the pages takes her breath away and shakes her work to its core.
I feel that when I write, I discover I have thoughts that I never even knew existed in my mind. There’s something very personal and revealing about writing, about being creative, that unearths the deeper part of yourself - and there’s the magic of books that teach the reader about worlds, characters and experiences that they wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to. I wanted to place a 16 year old girl at the heart of the story, a rather self-obsessed girl that never realised her actions had consequences. She discovers a diary which reveals what tomorrow will bring, in her own handwriting, and it’s through reading and writing that she learns that she is in control of her own destiny and that her actions affect others too.
